Alfred Junior Burnett died Friday May 29, 2020 in DePaul Hospital Norfolk, Virginia
Why did you leave me……….? Jesus said…… that he was going away to prepare a place for me…..so I wanted to go and…………. check it out! John 14:2
A man after God’s own heart, like David. Alfred wanted nothing more in life than to serve God…and that he truly did. He loved the way that God often gave him things to write, and……write is what he did! He loved life, but just wanted to be a writer.
You were born in Jamaica June 16, 1964, you made your mom and dad proud, another son to bring honor and glory to God! You later moved to the US in 1994, two years later to meet your wife…..Chon. Now Chon can write anything she wants to say…….that you can not argue with her…….our argument was that……… you…..looked at her first, but I can hear you say…….”no….you saw me first and wanted a husband” Yes yes yes maybe, maybe that was the true. But now Junior I won this argument and did……get a husband, it was you, and I Thank you for that.
You were a man who loved his 3 girls, he said…. “And that he would not exchange them for the 6 boys, that my wife’s wanted……..for anything in this world”. He helped train and nurture them, pouring and imparting as much and often as he could. He was a devoted and quite husband of 24 years……………… did not like to talk much, but just wanted to be family.
You were here on this earth to speak words, life and meaning to those who were in your path. Your world was filled with ups and downs, you overcame them, difficulties and challenges….. you overcame them, heartaches and pain……..you overcame them too!
But on May 29th, you decided to have a little talk with God and you ask him to take off your earthly garment and exchange it for a new. Alfred Junior Burnett you are terribly missed by all the ladies in your house, family and friends, But praise Father God…..your time has come and you both decided that it would be in the best of an ”eternal interest” to take you and tour you around………
Junior we love you, Chon. Jesekah, Jaylah and Jennah
