Samuel Jerome Simmons

Samuel Jerome (Pap) Simmons entered this earth on June 15, 1960, and departed on January 9, 2024. He was the 3^rd oldest son of the late Curtis and Irene L. Simmons. He was preceded in death by Henry L. Philipps (Connie) and Eddie L. Philipps. Samuel was educated in the Virginia Beach City Public Schools. He was a man who enjoyed working with his hands.

 He worked construction until his health would no longer allow it. He leaves to cherish his memory three sons, Torrell Lashawn Cherry, Suffolk, Va, Willie Williams II, Va. Beach, Va, and Na’Mir Javon Bell, Portsmouth, VA, Brother Curtis Eugene Simmons, Va. Beach, VA, Sister Marie Rev. Simmons Murphy (Ranson) Norfolk, Va. He has 10 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter, a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. Miss Katty Williams, whom he loved dearly, was a special friend, and a special friend Jermaine Fenton and wife who was there at the end.
