Ronnie was a good friend of my husband, James Wessells Sr. They always visited Northampton County High School together. That's how I met them both. Those two were sonething. Ronnie called me when James passed in 2019. He couldn't believe that James had gone Home. To his family you have my deepest heartfelt sympathy.

I would like to express my sincere condolences on the loss of my beloved Father in the Ministry, Rev. Ronnie T. Northam, Sr. I extend to you an outpour of love and strength at this hour. Our sovereign God has called home His servant from labor to reward.

Under the ministry of Rev. Northam, I was licensed and ordained. The role of a spiritual father is to raise up a son spiritually. A father will nurture and protect a son. Rev. Northam's primary goal was to make sure that he directed me in fulfilling the call of God on my life. He poured out knowledge, understanding, wisdom, and counsel.

As I look back, many memories flood my mind. Following my initial sermon, I recall that we went out together and purchased some items that I would need for the ministry, including my first robe and pocket bible. I still have that robe and bible TODAY. His presence will continue to reside in my memory and be treasured in my heart. He will truly be missed.

During this difficult time, I pray that you know the Father of compassion and comfort. May the Lord give you a peace that surpasses all understanding. The joy of Lord is your strength.

Rev. Northam and 1st lady Ms. Stella were so instrumental in leading us in worship and friendship during and after his tenure at Riddick's Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Belvidere, NC. If we needed him, all we had to do was call. They were so much a part of our family. Another tree has fallen in our forest of life! Rest well.
