Norman Corneilius Mack, Jr.

September 6, 1936 — April 14, 2021

Norman Cornelius Mack Jr, of Va. Beach, Virginia, transitioned to be with his Lord on Wednesday, April 14, 2021. He was born in Philadelphia, PA on September 06, 1936, to Norman and Catherine Mack (both deceased).

Norman lived a blessed and purposed ordained life. His early years of schooling were spent in PA Public Schools. He later obtained his General Education Diploma (GED), and proceeded into the United States Navy. After retiring from the military in 1973, he went on to graduate from Norfolk State University (NSU) with an Associates degree in Nursing and a Bachelor of Science degree in Gerontology.

Norman was a man who loved God, family, friends, and others. He was an Elder and faithful member at New Light Full Gospel Baptist Church where he showed love and benevolence to all people near and far. He was a faithful servant of the Lord and spent time praying and ministering to others.

Norman was also a member of the Improved Benevolent and Protective Order Elks (IBPOE), where held the position as Past Grand Exalted Ruler (PGER), member of the Athletic Department, and a Champlin.

Norman loved everything sports related. He was an ardent golf and baseball player. His love and passion for sports remained with him until his health no longer allowed.

Norman was most of all, a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, minister, cousin, and friend to many people. Norman was predeceased, by his sons Michael Mack, Ricky Mack, and Cornelius Mack; and leaves to cherish his life; wife Edith Mack, brother John (Betty) Mack, sister Mary Nicholas, children/stepchildren; Shelia Mack, Norman Mack Jr, Lindsey Douglas, Eric (Crystal) Douglas, Mark Mack, Keven Douglas, Bryan (Alecia) Douglas, London (Tarina) Wells, Cabera Murray; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
