Mildred Jean Woods

Mildred Jean Woods passed away on March 8, 2022 at her home in Chesapeake at the age of 78.   She grew up in Portsmouth, Virginia, graduating from Wilson High School and worked at the Quality Shop on High Street until 1971.  

A long time resident of Deep Creek in Chesapeake, she loved the Lord and cherished her family, friends and several pets over the years.  

She leaves behind her husband of over 50 years, Homer J Woods; and her son’s Donnie, Michael and Eddie, along with many grandchildren, and great grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her parents Milton and Edna Griffith; and her brothers Howard, Harold, and Kenneth Griffith.  She was a longtime member of Temple Baptist Church in Chesapeake, and had a strong faith and love of God.
