Lillian (Lil) Pye Angle, age 84, of Hampton, Virginia died peacefully Monday, February 15, 2021 at her home surrounded by her children. She was born in Suffolk, Virginia on October 9, 1936 to the late William J. Pye, Sr. and Sallie Jane Spain Pye. She was the widow of Louis Angle.
She is survived by two daughters, Charlene Way (John) of Hampton, VA; Kathy Belangia (Herman) of Elizabeth City, NC; and two sons, Steve Hadley of Virginia Beach, VA and James Cutrell of Joppa, NC. Three grandchildren, Herman Belangia, Jr, (Kelly); Kevin Belangia and Lacey Cutrell; three great grandchildren, Dylan Belangia, Alex Belangia and Madison Belangia; two nieces, Carol Reitan and Janice Wilson; three great nephews and one great niece.
Lil was predeceased by her brother, William (Bill) J. Pye, Jr.; a sister, Mabel Pye Davis; a niece Helen Biggs; and a nephew, Louis S. Davis, Jr.
Lil was a truck driver and a dispatcher. She retired from E.V. Williams after 32 years of dedicated service. She loved to cook and spend time with her family and friends. She was affectionately known as "Boss Lady". She loved her cats, doing puzzle books and playing cards. She was an avid reader.
She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and all who knew her. In remembrance of her life, the family asks that any flowers or donations be sent to the home. Charlene Way 19 S. Cypress Street Hampton, VA 23669.
