Lamiesha Lavontrae Spruill

Lamiesha was born in Milwaukee, WI and moved to San Diego, CA as a teenager. She met her husband Michael in Feb 2010. She, husband and children moved from San Diego, CA to the Virginia Beach  area in 2015, while he was active-duty military and received her master’s degree in human resources from Colorado State University in 2021.  

She loved others with her entire heart, and through genuine kindness, along with a contagious smile, she made a great impact on her friendships. her best qualities were to motivate and inspire others to be the best that they can be, which was exemplified in her job as an Employment Navigator Manager with the Dept of Labor.

Lamiesha is preceded in death by her grandmother, Lovie Young and uncle Larry Savage Jr. and survived by her husband, Michael Spruill of VB, VA; their 3 children, Tor (16), Ari (12), and Zoe (10); mother, Victoria Savage (VB, VA); father, Laymon Blakely (Madison, IL); mother-in-law, Elaine Spruill (Brooklyn, NY);  brothers, Rickey Fields (Mpls, MN); Travis (Aisha) Savage (Phoenix, AZ); sister, Nakiesha Blakely (Venice, IL); aunts, Tiney/Matilda (Derrick) Lloyd (Austell, GA); Jennifer (Ted) Young (Mpls, MN); uncles, Michael (Elvira) Young (Maryville, IL); Lymont Savage (Milwaukee, WI).

Also left to cherish her memories are her close friends, Miekiel Stewart (Texas); Allana Guinard (VB, VA); as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Thanks to her friends @ Seaside Raw Bar & Grill in Virginia Beach, VA for the love and support for her.
