Josephus was my buddy. I visited him in the hospital and we a nice time. I was suppose to bring him something, but he got pneumonia and took a turn for the worst. I would cook and we shared a number of meals. I miss my buddy and I cried like a baby when I was told of his passing. There will never be another Josephus. He enjoyed the fact that I called his entire first name. He was such a caring person and folks in the building cared for him. I adopted him and a few in my family got to know him. Sleep on Josephus until we meet again.

Uncle Joe, that laugh and that voice was a comfort in some of the darkest moments. There’s not a day gone by that i don’t think about you. I’m sorry you suffered but I’m glad you’re free and I would do anything to hear that voice one more time. A bird set free, fly high uncle joe. 💕🖤
