Evone Foreman Gibson, the fifth child of the late Mr. Van Davis and Mrs. Eola Valentine Foreman, was born in Virginia Beach, VA on March 17, 1951. She attended Union Kempsville High School where she graduated as the Valedictorian of her high school class and recognized for her academic accomplishments, including the Ledger-Star recognition for superior academic excellence as a member of the Tidewater Scholastic Achievement Team, and Union Kempsville High School Scholastic Team. Evone received a full scholarship to attend Saint Augustine University.
At Saint Augustine Evone majored in Mathematic with a minor in Statistic; she earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in three years. Afterward, she attended George Washington University earning a Master of Science Degree.
Evone loved traveling, reading, attending sports events, and her work. Her professional career included positions with the Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Company (C&P, now Verizon) , with E.L. Hamm & Associates Engineering & Consulting Firm in both their Virginia Beach and Prince George’s Offices and with the City of Orange New Jersey mayor’s office.
Evone was predeceased by her parents and brother Van Davis Foreman, Jr. She leaves to cherish her memory her sisters Evelyn Munden, Mildred Dyson and Toni Little of Virginia Beach, VA, Lorraine Gary of Chesapeake, VA, Linda Morgan (William) of Gainesville, VA, and Kelley Hooker (Michelangelo) of Yorktown, VA, and a host of nephews, nieces, great nephews and nieces, other relatives, and friends.
There will be a private memorial service and internment for Evone’s immediate family
