Dennis Rush

Our beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin, friend, Dennis Alfred Rush, 61 years old, was called home by his Lord and Savior on July 4, 2021 in his home. He is affectionately called “Dennis the Menace”, because of his love for basketball and how is a menace with the basketball. He has a love for music and can play any instrument and never had any lessons. It is just a God given talent. He loved God and is a minister of God’s word. He was a member and minister of Liberty Temple Church for over 40 years. Dennis is well known and loved by many.

He graduated from Deep Creek High school and attended TCC. He retired from the City of Chesapeake and he also worked at Hardee’s. Dennis is faithful, trusted and thorough in anything he did. Dennis was born in Portsmouth, Virginia and was predeceased by both his parents Charles Alfred and Jessie Mae Rush. He is also predeceased by his brother, Jobe Rush, his sister, Sharon Litton, and his nephew, Charles Rush. He leaves to cherish his memories 3 sisters, Carolyn Rush, Charlesann Jones (Samuel), Meta Rush-Brown (Kenneth), a host of a lifelong best friend, LaTonja Sallee, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Memorial Service will be held on July 25 (Dennis’ Birthday) at 5873 Poplar Hall Drive Norfolk, Virginia 23502 757-327-4400

Passover will be at Martin’s Soulfood Cafeteria at Janaf Shopping Center
