Cynthia Ann Perkins, 59, went home to be with the Lord on September 30, 2021, with her children, family and friends by her side in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Cynthia was born on September 30, 1962 in Norfolk, Virginia.

She was the daughter of William (Willie) and Gladys Perkins. She grew up in the family’s church, Second Calvary Baptist Church, of Norfolk, Virginia. She graduated from Norview High School in 1980 and received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Howard University.

In 1993, Cynthia married George Burns III and from that union had three beautiful children. At a young age, Cynthia loved helping people and had a goal to pursue a career in law. However, after observing her father with respiratory issues, she decided to become a licensed Respiratory Therapist.

Cynthia served for many years as a respiratory therapist in the Metropolitan area before transitioning into the field of Mortgage Banking with her final position being Accounting Executive. She enjoyed traveling, watching sports, spending time with family and friends and reading.

She devoted her time and energy to her three children, Adriana, Gianna and George IV. Cynthia leaves to cherish her memory her children, Aunt Letice Graham and a host of family and friends.

Will miss Cynthia Perkins (of Virginia)
We shared many life challenging moments. We even spoke about \"gummy bears\". We cherished opportunities to laugh and celebrate accomplishments.
We also shared a time when we will live without sickness, everlastingly, John 17:3/ Isaiah 33:22-24

I had the privilege of working with Cynthia at Land Home Financial Services. She was a hard working and dedicated to her job. But more importantly, loved her children and spoke of them every day!! I will miss you, my friend. Rest In Peace, Cynthia, where there is no more pain. Xoxo My deepest sympathies to the family. Vivian Jones
