Arthur James Donalson

Mr. Donalson died June 11 in Hampton, Virginia. Born in Decatur County, Georgia, he was the son of the late Granerson Donalson and Catherine Harris. He was a member of Bethel AME Church in Attapulgus and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Survivors include wife, Donnie Donalson of Hampton, Virginia; daughters, Phyllis Donalson Cunningham (Freddie) of Walterboro, South Carolina, Elder Annette Higdon (Deacon Wesley) of Cairo, Evangelist Donna Jones (Dr. Tyrrell) of Quitman; stepdaughters, Patricia Brown of Alateen, Texas, Marsha Williams of Hampton, Virginia, Jessica Williams of Attapulgus, Donnella Walker (Sr. Chief Melvin) of Hampton, Virginia; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and relatives. Weston's Funeral Home Cairo, Georgia is handling local arrangements. Professional services entrusted to E. Vaughn Wray Funeral Establishment Norfolk.
