“Be thou faithful unto death and I will give thee a crown of life.” – Rev. 2:10

Ernest Lee Earley was born October 18, 1959 in Baltimore City, Maryland. Ernest was the son of the late Joe Louis Earley and the late Mary Ruth Earley. He entered into eternal rest on July 30, 2019.

Ernest accepted Christ as his personal savior as a young boy, and lived his life accordingly.

Ernest received his education through Norfolk Public Schools. He was a graduate from Norview High School in 1978. Ernest enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1978 and served proudly until 1983. After being discharged from the Army,he enrolled in Automotive Training Institute to become an Automotive Technician. Following his training, he spent 29 years in the automotive industry holding a variety of positions, such as Transmission Technician, Automotive Technician, and Team Leader.

Ernest met Nancy (Nan), the love of his life, and they were joined in holy matrimony September 10, 1994. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and spending time with his nieces and nephews. Ernest took pleasure in spending time with his family. Ernest and Nan often hosted fun filled weekends for the younger family members to expose them to a variety of life experiences.

Ernest was a big sports fan and a die-hard Redskins fan. Ernest enjoyed grilling, fishing, horseshoes, festivals, and exploring new foods.

Ernest leaves to cherish his memories: devoted wife Nan, his son, Nathaniel Haynes, and five siblings: DinitaJackson (Everett), Adriene White, Reginald Earley(Janice), Jacqueline Brown (DuShawn), and Joseph Earley (Marilynn). Sister in love: Gwen (Sean). Nieces and nephews include Chantè, Kierra, Mario, Ayana, Marquetta, LeKiaite, Terrell, Michel’le, Deontà, Sadequa, Alana (predeceased), Mekenna, Jayla, Jennifer and Jessica.
